Statement:
The characteristics of my weaving are more focused on the transformation of the basic structure than on the techniques. Each particular material enables me to enjoy maximum subtleness and boldness at the same time, and I cannot help loving fiber art creations. The aim of my work is to convey a genuine Korean atmosphere and its cosmic space through rich color, shapes, forms and material quality. Therefore, I try to link the Korean tradition with modern trends. The direction of my art is derived from the dimension, simplicity and philosophical mesage in its expression. I really hope to be able to express the candor and truth of my weaving art.
